We stopped in for lunch this time. Tortillas Tex Mex is a perfect spot for lunch if you are in or passing through the Newberry area. We definitely recommend dinning on the patio if the weather is nice. As always the staff is very courteous, Our meals were flavorful and large portions. Our meal consisted of Guacamole & Chips for an appetizer, Big Buttito (Grilled Chicken), Wet Burrito (Grilled Chicken), and street corn. We look forward to our next visit.
Absolutely this place! Great Atmosphere, kid and family friendly. Food was fantastic! Will definitely be coming back. Also drinks are super yummy! Our server, Jose was amazing and even met and spoke with the GM, Jonnathan, who is also exceptional!! 5 Will be one of our new spots. There is also a very nice outdoor seating area that we will utilize.
We love to try different restaurants near us, and this delicious restaurant was 2 towns over from us. The restaurant is very light and airy and not like most Tex-Mex places. They have indoor and nice size outdoor sitting available. The salsa was thick and had a nice kick, and chips were a large size for better scooping. We started with the Tex-Mex egg rolls they were crispy and delicious. Hubby went for the Trio Fajitas, loved the steak, and shrimp. He said chicken needed a little more spice but still liked it. The guacamole was fresh, chunky, and awesome. I had the sofrito chicken and rice the platter was enormous.I had to get a to go box. The chicken was seasoned with a nice spice mix. I also tried a glass of their red sangria it was very good. We were too full for dessert, but I listed their options for you to see. The strawberry tostada looked good. We will definitely be back to try some more of their wonderful dishes.
We love the Saturday evening live music at the courtyard. Mckenzie has been an excellent server and always walks out to the stage area for full service while we enjoy dinner and music. Love the atmosphere and vibe! The queso and crunchy street corn chicken are our favorite.
Excellent Mexican dishes that will please your appetite for South of the Border Mexican food......plenty of servings for two people ......took left overs home for lunch the following day......very pleased with the staff, the amount of food plus service replenishing your drinks......Highly recommended this restaurant.....Will Continue to dine there in the future........
Had a late dinner and the food was great. I had a tortilla bowl and my wife had a chimichonga with street corn. They served chips and salsa before the meal. Our server, Bri was excellent and made sure we were good with refills on drinks. We will come back again
Food was good , Buffalo shrimp - way to much sauce , to HOT to eat They don’t serve rice with the fajitas it comes with shredded cheese instead. Overall flavor of everything else was good . Margaritas were really good , we will be back. Very nice inside and outside dining.
Ryan, our server was the absolute best! Very attentive. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you Ryan! Also, the food was amazing! We will be back! Side note: we had the Philly Chimichanga and the creamy chicken pasta! Both were great!
